The Alima trolley has been designed to bridge the gap between the home and office. Inspired by the “creative chaos” of working from home, the Swedish designers of Note Design Studio have decided to create a mobile storage unit that can host a collection of books, magazine and design objects. The result was an elegant trolley with a distinctive design. The V-shaped perforated metal sheet integrated in the upper surface means that you can store and easily find stacked books. The lower level features a removable wooden surface. The wheels mean its easily manoeuvrable, so the trolley can be used in countless ways within an interior space, whether it’s as a side table or as a storage unit in an office. Alima can also make its way into the living room or kitchen, or into a co-working space or a bar. The Alima trolley has a graphic, steel structure. This metal silhouette contrasts with the leather handle and wooden tabletop, which comes in oak or walnut. Kristoffer Fagerström from Note Design Studio: “Alima is the ideal place to keep your inspiration – books, magazines, and objects that give you energy at the moment. You can roll it underneath your home-working desk, so that it’s accessible while working on your current projects, or you can use it in the living room to display personal objects and interesting books.” Founded in Stockholm in 2008, Note Design Studio is a multi-disciplinary studio which covers everything from architecture and interiors to product design. The acclaimed studio focuses on creating objects and spaces that aim to engage the senses and evoke authentic emotions.
