Italian architect and urban planner Stefano Boeri is world-famous for his ecological projects where nature plays the main role. He designed in particular the famous “Bosco verticale” in Milan, skyscrapers covered in greenery.For Fontana Arte, he created Lasospesa: a restrained, elegant glass lamp that plays an attractive graphic game. This lamp has two interlocking cylinders: an internal cylinder (containing the LED light source) in white sandblasted glass, suspended inside a larger cylinder, available in different shades (smoked grey, white or transparent stripes).The Lasospesa lamp emits a pleasant, diffused light that can be regulated with the dimmer. This light tube traces a vertical line of light, magnifying the refined nature of the glass. Light and delicate, the glass cylinder forms an ethereal volume that’s filled with luminous substance.“A non-lamp with multiple uses and iridescent brightness, very simple and classic, the lamp seems to have always been there, where you put it”, explains Stefano Boeri.
