A strong visual impact for this airy, very graphic Drop pendant, a real light sculpture. This designer light is a minimalist, contemporary reinterpretation of old chandeliers. Its imposing dimensions make it a masterful piece to dress large spaces. Drop resembles a sinuous ribbon which floats freely in space and magnifies the light… The Drop pendant consists of a stack of 9 concentric rings of different sizes in black aluminium. The rings are connected to each other by taut steel cables which draw sharp geometric lines in space. The numerous rings draw frames in the air that delimit empty spaces and fill them with light. These ultra-minimalist, open structures are like imprints in space, pencil strokes sketched in the air, three-dimensional signs. Drop highlights the essential: namely, light, which becomes the central player in the aesthetics of the lamp. The void fills with a luminous substance that radiates all around, without revealing the light source. The poetry of this emptiness inevitably makes us think of its opposite: the materiality of the world. Each ring is fitted with an LED strip located behind an opaline methacrylate diffuser.
