An icon of Scandinavian design! String system was designed in 1949 by Nils Strinning (1917-2006), a great Swedish architect. String is a system of adjustable shelves that can be combined as required – you can put together your individual bookshelf, office or various furniture. It is its lightness, adaptability and minimalist design that have helped this bookcase to become a great classic of Scandinavian design. String shelf is still being produced in Sweden with an attention to quality; its design has not been changed since 1949. This set is to be fixed at a wall and measures: L 78 x H 200 x D 30/58 cm. It consists of a desk top (L 78 x D 58 cm) and 3 shelves (L 78 x D 30 cm) that can be placed freely in the two lacquered steel side panels. The components (desk top and shelves) can be assembled and disassembled very easily; change the height in a jiffy! This compact office area will fit any rooms – entrance halls, living rooms or bedrooms. You will have a workspace to place your laptop, to write and work while your documents will be kept handy!
