This incredible plaster ceiling light looks like one of the ceiling roses that ornament the very chic ceilings of Hausmannian apartments. Jean-François Bellemère’s wish was to “reintroduce the nice elements of the past by diverting their use”. The classic rose, if a light source is put behind, can be transformed into an ultra modern lamp… Mr Haussmann, a true masterpiece, takes us into an extremely refined world. This large plaster rose (Ø 82 cm) features a lavish moulding pattern in Neo-baroque style where festoons and flower garlands can be found. The entire surface of the rose is studded with irregularly placed light points, resulting in an enchanting effect: such luminous network looks like a myriad of twinkling stars on the ceiling. Mr Haussmann makes the light dance and throws superb shadow patters on the floor! The light source situated behind the rose provides decorative and functional light. In addition to the mood lighting, coming through the numerous perforations, Mr Haussmann lights up the room functionally by providing indirect light, directed towards the ceiling. Mr Haussmann pendant received the VIA 2011 label. Exclusive on Made in Design!
