Made from a moulded textured plastic, the ‘Torch Light’ is an original table lamp. ‘Torch Light’, like much of Sylvain’s work, is inspired by archetypal objects – in this case, the simple silhouette of a typical hand-held torch or car headlight. « This is how I like to think of objects. What would they be like as shadows? How can they be normal and recognisable, yet slightly sophisticated and elegant? It’s playful, graphic… like an icon. » Sylvain Willenz
