The “Amp” lamp collection is the work of Danish designer Simon Legald. The idea for the shape of these lamps came to him one day when he was restoring an old radio dating from the 1960s: he loved the glow given off by the tube amplifier. The simple oval shape of the lampshade as well as the particular way it diffuses light obviously refer back to it, just like the name Amp, which uses the abbreviation of amplifier tube.
