Evolution of an icon for a limitless light… Designed by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto, Caboche was created in 2005, based on a strong and simple intuition: creating a light with a look that it as pretty, sophisticated and light as a pearl bracelet. From its beginnings, Caboche stood out as one of the top Foscarini best-sellers, until it became a real icon. Caboche Plus is a new version, completely revisited relying on modern technology. More transparency and brightness, for lighter lines. The multiple PMMA spheres appear to float in space, in a wonderful effect of complete transparency. A piece with a great visual impact, capable of combining lightness and decorative and practical value. Caboche Plus has new zigzag-shaped rings that are quite simply invisible and do not hide the light or the view. They enhance the transparency while improving the resistance. Once the spheres are assembled, the rings disappear from view completely, only allowing pearls of light to appear. Caboche Plus has a new Twist-lock fixing system which allows for simpler and more stable installation. This bayonet fixing system allows the brilliant look of the spheres to shine and makes insertion easier, as such guaranteeing absolute stability with a simple click. With this new mount, the light is emitted without interference inside the spheres, to light up the space in all directions. A technological and creative gem, the new, next-gen double-sided LED group of lights designed by Foscarini grants Caboche Plus an impeccable lighting with optimal performance in terms of energy efficiency (excellent colour reproduction index, same bright tone as a halogen source, energy efficiency improved by up to 40%). Brilliant and multifaceted, the Caboche Plus pendant is a mosaic of spheres, a perfect fusion of individual parts which, together, form the body of the lamp and create its light effect. The multiple transparent and sparkling spheres increase the light and enrich it with wonderful reflections. A central diffuser made from white satin-finish blown glass bolsters this impression of a heavenly body. This light is equipped with the My Light Tunable feature which lets you control and personalise your lighting thanks to a free app that can be activated and used via Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet or your own smart device. It’s very simple to use: just activate Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet, download the free app and switch on your MyLight Tunable. Once the light is recognised by the app, you can start switching it on and off, adjust the intensity and colour temperature, and create your own scenographies. The Timer lets you automatically activate or deactivate the scenographies, even when your smartphone or tablet is switched off. The colour temperature varies between 2700K (warm light) to 5000K (cool light).
