A cult design object, the Pipistrello lamp was created by Gae Aulenti in 1965. This Martinelli Luce lamp with its wave-shaped lampshade resembles a bat, which is what pipistrello means in Italian. It’s a table or floor lamp with diffused light. A telescopic stainless steel system lets you adjust its height (66-86 cm). The diffuser is in opal white methacrylate and the base in white or dark brown lacquered metal. Iconic and exhibited in the major museums around the world, the Pipistrello is one of those objects that make up our universal heritage.
