Outdoor Living: HiRay by Kartell! Kartell enjoys a technological challenge and is always ready to explore new solutions and new materials. This is certainly the case with the HiRay collection, by designers Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, where the emphasis is on metal. This collection of outdoor furniture accords pride of place to metal, showcasing its modern, lightweight qualities. The collection, which is created for outdoor living, uses a wire soldering technique, playing with light, to create a lightweight, 3D design. All aspects of the design are based on metal wire, joined to form a rigid structure that creates a single organic shape. The rigidity of the metal contrasts with the softness of cushions (sold separately), made from an innovative fabric produced from recycled bottles and other PET waste. Outdoor spaces are becoming our new living rooms, thanks to these unique and elegant pieces, with their aesthetic, practical designs, which blur the distinction between indoors and outdoors. Ludovica+Roberto Palomba: “HiRay is clearly inspired by the Kartell philosophy, translating its concepts into a product line that sets a new trend for outdoor living. HiRay marks Kartell’s continued exploration of new worlds, with a design that showcases metal, highlighting its lightweight, modern qualities. Designed for outdoor living, HiRay is characterized by its use of cutting-edge technology and wire to create sinuous, light-filled, transparent shapes and 3D structures!
