A bubbling, ultra-productive trio, the designers from the Lausanne studio big-game have been coloring everyday life with optimism for ten years, with joyful objects with their pure lines. Simplicity, functionality and optimism are the characteristics of all their creations. For their collaboration with the Belgian design house valerie objects, the designers from big-game started with the following idea: ”There is already so much noise and information in this world, we need silent objects.” Nourished by the rationality and formal simplicity of Swiss culture, the Silent collection consists of furniture-tools, real objects imbued with purity. These perfectly functional chairs and tables, with their strictly formal humility, give an impression of aesthetic neutrality that continues to stand the test of time. The design of Silent is intended to be the equivalent of modernist Swiss typefaces. In the Silent table, everything is reduced to a minimum: each screw or technical part has been meticulously hidden to offer the clearest possible line and visual calm. Arousing an immediate sense of familiarity, the archetypal form is subtly modernized by a fresh, attractive color palette. The Silent table plays its hand of contemporary minimalism, but within an explosion of color.
